DJ Korrek was raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Korrek's fascination with music began at a tender age, inspired by his father's love for music and his older brothers’ turntable skills. He began attending every club that he could get into, just to study the art of dj’ing. An eager student of the game, he began studying the likes of Funkmaster Flex, Mister Cee, and a host of other local DJs. Using the knowledge he gleaned, he developed his own unique style. Korrek quickly began building a brand. Armed with a keen sense for reading the moods of crowds, he started locking down residencies with A-list clubs and promoters. He has spun at some of NYC’s hottest clubs. Some of his credits include Crimson, Element, Providence, Copacabana, LQ , B.B. Kings, Taj as well as Sobe Live and Chakra in South Beach, Miami. He has a weekly Saturday night residency at New York City hot spots .. Club Rebel & BB Kings.
