Dj Joel Cruz is one of Mzansi’s up and coming Dj’s with a talent to please a diverse crowd.

Dj Joel Cruz learnt his skills firstly at Soul Candi institute of Music. He then was mentored by Dj Dino Bravo for a while, before entering Retro music’s courses.

Dj Joel Cruz has been heard playing at different spots in South Africa from the classy clubs like ZAR Sandton, Velvet Rosebank, SET Rosebank, Manhattans and FTV to a more local scene like Carfax, Chaf Pozi, Limpopo and Coconut Bar in Rustenburg. Joel has opened the stage for djs such as DJ Dino Bravo, Dj KENT, DJ Cleo, Dj SoulT, Household Funk, Dj Warras, Dj Ankletap and International DJ Nick Holder.

On the 3 March 2012 at The Village in Mamelodi, Joel Cruz won the YFMs Strongbow DJ competition.

Dj Joel Cruz is one to watch out for in the dj-ing scene and definitely lives up to his nickname Mzansi’s Favorite White Boy!
