learned piano at 5, trombone at 8, percussion at 13, guitar at 15, & was in a plethera of bands from punk, funk to ska & industial. it was a gyroscope co-owned that led me to a rave, i began to notice the music was evolving (from Gogg to RITM, NIN to alern-8, & in florida, UK trance was seduced by miami bass in o-town & birthed this funky mutt basterd-florida breaks. My dream was clear, I wanted to be a funky shamen & breakthru fla's underground dance scene. Collecting wax since '91, MARZ was my home in cocoa beach, but it wasnt until moving 2 tampa in 95 that kenny styles was born. 1509, MARZ, and club 60 were my residencies thru 2003. After an 8 yr. sabbatical, bcame a dietitan, then hit asheville hard til '13, fam issues led me back to Fla. Trying to be an Ego-less dj'ing kept me underground & out of the limelight. side rooms like pure were my favorite.
