DJ Kapone, the hottest DJ in Central Illinois. His fitting title points to his “gangsta” technique of mixing records of all genres, leaving the listener nodding their head to his powerful legendary mixes. With his own signature style, DJ Kapone is poised to claim his throne amongst Central Illinois DJs and is looking to invade Chi-town and St L.
A native of East St. Louis “East Boogie”, DJ Kapone broke into the DJ scene as “Kaptain G”, when his fraternity (Kappa Alpha Psi) brother, Tony Jones accidentally double-booked himself for two parties at the same time. Kaptain G impressed the crowd and has been sought after ever since that day.
After graduating from East St. Louis Sr. High School, Cliff G. enrolled in Illinois State University.
There, his passion for hip hop music would lead him to collecting as much music as he could and becoming familiar with other forms of music.
Not wanting to be known just as a party DJ, DJ Kapone has set his sights on conquering the radio market.
