DJ Jurr was a pioneer of Lounge Music and longtime resident DJ at Amsterdam’s Supperclub, where he shaped the iconic sound alongside his brother DJ Roelove 74. Starting at age 15, he gained recognition in the Dutch techno and house scenes, evolving his style to include ambient and trip-hop. His productions, like Le Rasta and Seven Diamonds, featured on international lounge compilations including MTV Lounge. After stepping back from music, he returned to the stage at Healing Garden Festival, rediscovering his passion and becoming its resident DJ. Jurr was known for crafting musical journeys—blending old and new into timeless dancefloor stories. He passed away in February 2025 at age 48. Jurr will be remembered for his gentle soul, deep musicality, and lasting impact.
