Since 1978 DJ J STAN has entertained clubbers, ravers, and radio listeners. His weekly live beat mix show on Jackson, Mississippi 100KW powerhouse 94TYX aired from 1984 until 1991.
"The Saturday Night Live Jamm" was the first mix show in the Deep South performed live, in studio, with no pre-recorded mixing elements. The four hour weekly show was an Arbitron ratings and revenue bonanza for station owner Tab Broadcasting.
The show's enormous popularity propelled the talented Mixmaster's club residencies resulting in packed dance houses in rooms from St. Louis, to Jackson, Hattiesburg, New Orleans, across to Pensacola, and up to Birmingham.
