Music is a universal language. It doesn’t matter what language one speaks. Everyone feels music. It is a part of what keeps the world going. This mentality is what got Joe Ortiz to where he is today. Ortiz is a Puerto Rican DJ and event producer that has played at some of the most significant nightclubs in Puerto Rico and Florida. He is best known for his attention to detail. Starting his career in 1980, Ortiz is well versed in all genres of music. He is best known for mixing 70s, 80s, Disco, Caribbean and Latin music. He first started playing at clubs in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He says his favorite club to play at in his career was in 1988 at Bachelor’s in Santurce, Puerto Rico. After moving to Florida in 1997, he has played at the most popular clubs in Miami Beach and Ybor City, Tampa. He founded Party Mix Productions in 2015.
