Starting his DJ journey at just 13 in 1994, DJ Herschel was introduced to the world of beats and rhythms by a friend in Cape Town, South Africa. By 16, he was already making waves in DJ competitions and clubs like Club Lennon and Galaxy, reaching the semi-finals.

At 18, he became one of the youngest resident DJs at Club Galaxy, sharing the stage with some of Cape Town’s top DJs. In 2000, he clinched the top spot in the Cape Town leg of the Smirnoff & Levi DJ battle competition and placed 4th nationally.

You might have caught him on the Timmy T show on GHFM or spinning at venues like Club Galaxy, Club Vibe, Wazup, Peter Cellars, Tribes (Worcester), Dockside, Hype, Bunker 9, Downtown, Sutra, Chrome, and Casa Blanca.

Known for his versatility, DJ Herschel can seamlessly transition from jazz to house. Now, as of 2024, he’s bringing his talent to New Zealand.
