DJ GQ began his career at the age of 17 as a HIPHOP / Battle DJ.
Armed with three turntables and razor-sharp scratching skills, he quickly developed a distinctive sound of his own.

Absorbing a wide range of influences including downtempo and chillout, he refined his musical identity and, by 2000, became deeply immersed in Drum’n’Bass.
In 2002, seeking the roots of the sound, he relocated to London.
For nearly four years, he played extensively across lounges and clubs in East London, while also hosting a weekly Drum’n’Bass program on UK radio stations
His shows earned strong support from local heads, establishing a solid presence within the UK scene.

After returning to Japan, he launched “Deep & Liquid Drum’n’Bass Party – ATMOSPHERE” in Yamanashi.
By inviting artists such as Makoto and Velocity, he built a Drum’n’Bass platform that transcended the local scene and continuously introduced new currents into the region.
