DJ Fuego was born on August 2, 1981 in the small city of Paterson, NJ. The sounds of music caught his attention at an early age and he soon discovered his love for music. He’d attend family gatherings and watch attentively as they played music and the crowd moved to the rhythm. DJ Fuego started djing at the age of 13, playing at local parties and family events .
When he moved to Bronx, NY in 1989, his interaction with local dj’s around the area expanded his knowledge. It was during this time that he learned about dj equipment’s and the various techniques used. Back when technology wasn’t so advanced, he recalls DJ’s carrying the Technics 1200 along with several milk crates full of music records. It wasn’t until he moved back to Jersey in 1996, that he started buying his own dj equipment and watching videos on YouTube to learn about pitch and tempo.
While growing up, he remembers listening to “Hot 97”, “Ed, Lisa & Dr. Dre” on the radio and watching shows such as “Rap City”
