DJ Del DeLeon started DJing in 1975. Born and raised in the South Bronx ('sup to Claremont Parkway!), NYC, his passion for music and spinning landed him his first club residency at the age of 15 under the nickname "DJ Butch" at a small extremely illegal social club named "Manny's Cabaret".
He learned his craft on the streets of tThe Bronx at block parties in Rosedale Park with Afrika's crew (Soundview Projects) and from old school Long Island DJs like Jimmy Gaffey and Bobby Lombardi, (who legend claims started the BPM concept). During the late 70's, when nothing was cooler than being a DJ, he went to and DJ'ed at all the clubs you had to go to like Sidestreets, The Riddler's, PC's, Starship Discovery, the original Limelight and of course Studio 54 to name a few.
