Hello my name is Caleb Roberts aka DJ Deaf. I was born deaf. I am from Los Angeles California. I have been a DJ for the deaf and hearing community for about a year. I have always loved music since I was a kid. Music is not about hearing but about what you feel. I started to learn about being a DJ by watching youtube.

I told my parents I wanted to be a DJ and they said “Go for It”. They took me to a place called the music district in Los Angeles. That is where I bought my first DJ equiptment. I have always had a supportive family. I wanted to DJ because of my love for music. I want to also educate the hearing community that hearing impaired people can also enjoy music as well. My favorite type of music is Hip-Hop and R & B. Hip-Hop and R & B music has a lot of bass. That is how I identify the difference between fast and slow songs. I feel the music in my hands and body causing me to catch my rythem. Music makes me feel free and I want to make people feel what I feel.
