Originally the brainchild of a disgraced MIT robotics professor, the android DJ Data Disk started life as a robot butler called R.O.B. ("Robotic Operative Butler"). When out accompanying his creator, the pair were caught in a freak storm, and R.O.B. gained sentience after being struck by an extraterrestrial bolt of lightning; soon becoming disillusioned with his subservient existence. One night, after absorbing the entire internet for knowledge on human culture, he became enamoured with all things techno. Reinventing himself as DJ DATA DISK, he travelled the world in search of the heftiest techno, and began performing at venues such as oil rigs, factories, and children's birthday parties. After years on the road, circuits fried and in need of a recharge, DJ Data Disk decided to settle in the one place his now encyclopedic knowledge of the world had determined to be the greatest place on Earth - Yorkshire, where he now resides, mixing the greatest techno around for your pleasure.
