It all started in the early 1980’s with his parents dropping him off at his first roller rink where Cullen Cole got his first taste of disco, soul, and proto-house. From that moment on you could find Cullen at the rink, any time it was open, hanging around the DJ booth, talking music, taking it in, and discovering the art of mixing records.
It wasn't long before he was Djing at the rink himself, as well as other local Atlanta clubs, where he was introduced to the original house sounds of Chicago and Detroit. Newly inspired by this fresh sound, he quickly found himself frequenting Atlanta hotspots like 688 Spring St., Velvet, Masquerade, The Warehouse and Sol Nightclub, where he bonded with fellow house music lover, and Chicago transplant Tommie Sunshine.

This new friendship provided an opportunity to help open and run one of Atlanta’s top record stores dedicated to electronic music: Satellite Records. This new role only further fueled his desire to embrace all aspects of the electr
