Music enables Chimz’s soul to speak. You feel him when you hear him and you immediately understand the passion, love and respect he has for music. But you know it's true just by listening. He has been behind the turntables for more than two decades. Prior to that, his younger years were filled with music, starting with the violin at 8 and continued all through his teenage years. Growing up with such a musical family opened him up to appreciating all types of music, from classical to dance. Once he was exposed to the clubs, he couldn't get enough of the beats. He was hooked immediately to the vibe, the crowd, the atmosphere, the enjoyment. The impact of these experiences energized him and he knew one day he wanted to be able to contribute to this realm. It was only a matter of time before he purchased his first 'set-up' and began practicing the art of being a DJ. As his comfort level grew, he went from bedroom DJ, to house parties and local events, and then to clubs.
