DJ CAT

Music came early to DJ CAT. At the age of five, he discovered the piano in Africa and played it for ten years. At 14, the Roland MC-303 opened the door to electronic music production: creating music on his own became an endless playground.
A few years later, he stepped behind the decks. For nearly 30 years, he has explored DJing as a language of its own: telling stories, building bridges between tracks and shaping the energy of a dancefloor.
As the founder of Boxon Records, some of his childhood dreams came true when the label’s productions were played by artists he admired, from Laurent Garnier and Soulwax to Manu le Malin and David Guetta.
After a few years devoted to other projects, the urge to DJ came back. DJ CAT is back.
Today, his sets move freely between house, techno, garage, afro, percussion and oriental sounds. An eclectic approach driven by one simple desire: to tell a story, create emotions and make people dance.
