Caleb Macken, aka DJ M-1, is an Irish producer and DJ inspired by hip hop legends like Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr, DJ Premier, Mixmaster Mike, and DJ Q-Bert. Originally coming from a background in punk, rock, indie, and metal, he found his path through turntablism, teaching himself to cut, scratch, and mix records before moving into music production and sound engineering.

His debut release under the DJ M-1 alias was picked up by Tuff Kong Records, leading to a growing catalog of underground hip hop and electronic music releases. He has worked with artists including Sadat X, LMNO, Vakill, Luke Sick, Starvin B, and Zilla Rocca, with airplay on SiriusXM, BBC, and RTÉ. His music has appeared on Tuff Kong Records, Chopped Herring Records, Mines Clarence, Expanded Art, and his own label, Cult Property.
