Bay Area’s very own DJ Brown Buoy is a versatile open format party rocker who
has made a major breakthrough over the last year.
”I chose that name because folks at nightclubs addressed me as Brownbuoy; socially outgoing by attitude & Indian by color ,” he explains with a laugh. Born & raised in Indian city of dreams, Mumbai, he initially moved to California to pursue his interest in electrical engineering. After ten years in the field, he decided to chase his longtime passion in music, as a DJ.
”I love attending and throwing parties, good music ,the vibe and happy faces are the biggest motivation,” he says. Though music had always been integral in his life, he acknowledged his desire to make it his life over the past 4-5 years. ”Music is my answer to life ... I love EDM, house & HipHop.” Though he is of an Indian descent, his varied background & taste makes him ,as open minded as a DJ can be, allowing him to transition from a high-energy party to a sweaty night club vibe effortlessly.
