“DJ Big Dogg” a.k.a . Regale Clay was born in the Henry Horner Homes in May 1973, on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. He is undoubtedly one the best-known DJ’s from Chicago’s Westside. Regale was just 17 years old when he started spinning records at back yard parties as a training ground for his expert mixing. By the time Regale had made it out of George Westinghouse Career Academy his skills as a DJ had progressed to a level that had him doing shows on the block party/small club circuit on the west side of Chicago. It was through these shows that he quickly built a reputation, which had him spinning all over his hometown. It was not just Regale’s ear for good music that had the party moving but his mastery of blending and scratch techniques. Never a showman, Regale let his hands do the talking. DJ Big Dogg was technically very sound and rarely made a mistake. After being exposed to the club scene in 1994, Big Dogg knew it was his dream to be the one in the DJ Booth.
