Born in Rome to Italian and Egyptian parents, Gio aka Alite moved to London in 2003 after a youth spent crate-digging in Rome. A true vinyl junkie, her eclectic style spans 30 years of drum and bass, from Jungle to Techstep, always with deep soulful notes. Her sets are journeys, letting the music speak for itself.
After 17 years in London, she’s performed across the UK, Europe and the US at MOS, Fabric, KoKo, Herbal, Plastic People and more. A regular at Sun and Bass, she’s shared the stage with Goldie, Storm, LTJ Bukem, DBridge, Calibre, Marcus Intalex, Marky, Klute, Seba, Randall, Cleveland Watkiss, Conrad, Fox and MC 2Shy.
