Ali Coleman is a New York City–based DJ, producer, and cultural organizer whose relationship with DJ
culture began in 1979, emerging from early disco, block parties, and club spaces that centered music as
a tool for release and connection. That lineage continues to inform his intuitive, people-centered
approach today.
As a DJ and producer, Ali’s sound draws from deep, soulful, Afro-influenced, and globally inspired
house music, blending classic foundations with forward-facing selections. His work spans clubs,
festivals, cultural institutions, and public spaces, adapting seamlessly across contexts while maintaining
