Rute aka Root Olivenbaum
Portuguese roots, Berlin-based since 2008.
Root Olivenbaum is a selector with a love for musical discoveries, unexpected connections and sounds that bring people together. Her selections move between funk, soul, bossa nova, rare grooves, forgotten covers and electronica — guided by curiosity, feeling and a soft spot for the unexpected.
More than just playing records, it’s about creating an atmosphere, reading the room and finding those tracks that make people move, connect and lose themselves in the moment. From intimate listening sessions and laid-back afternoons to dance floors that keep going, Root follows the music wherever it takes her.
Based in Berlin, rooted in Portugal and always digging for the next musical gem. Expect eclectic selections, good energy and a little bit of the unexpected.
