Between the late 90s and 2008, guitarist, DJ-composer and videographer kAMA was active in roots reggae (Akamassa), as well as dub and drum'n'bass (BJOC). He makes music like he cooks, selecting stuff he appreciates and seasoning it according to his inspiration of the moment. At first, he thought he played something somewhere between dub and minimal, but was told that it was deep house. So now, he says he plays elevator music, since he’s always liked when things go up. Forward thinking in his fantasies, he leaves his comfort zone every time he gets out of bed. He enjoys taking over a space, getting a feel for the crowd’s energy and sharing through music rather than words. Something new comes from every mix, which is why kAMA continues to seek escape, inviting others along for the journey through the music he loves.
