Ronald Maswanganye aka djKAE’1 (dj/producer) hails from Soweto in South Africa. Fell in love with house music at a very young age and started to dj at the age of 17, in 2004, and ever since that I have never looked back. My style of music was mostly influenced by international dj’s such as Onsulade, Ame, Pasta Boys, Reelsoul and the list is endless, and local dj’s such as Monde, Claude, dj Christos, Black Coffee, Culoe da song…to name about a few
I started producing my own projects in 2008, offering a special bend of tunes influenced by African instruments and the love of deep house. When I started producing I was working with a friend/mentor dj INCH” and we were known as INCH”-KAE’1 and the first project that we released is “African Sun EP”. After some time we parted ways and I joined an entertainment group known as Gathered Souls Entertainment and formed a record label known as GATHERED RECORDS and have been releasing my projects on afrodesiaMp3.com.
