Carlos Vazquez developed his love for House music throughout the early 90’s while growing up on the northwest side of Chicago. A mix tape from WBMX legend Kenny Jammin’ Jason found its way into his cassette deck at a very early age and became the origin for his Chicago House music addiction. Soon after, music from artists like Cajmere, Green Velvet, DJ Sneak, MK, DJ Funk, & Mike Dunn became such an important part of his teen years that it made him purchase a pair of turntables to begin dj’ing. Carlos has since made the rounds at some of Chicago’s most infamous House music havens, including Zentra, Sound Bar, Four/Big Wig, Redno 5, Smart Bar, Subterranean, as well as the legendary Boom Boom Room. In 2006 he joined forces with a few of his closest local DJ friends to form the DJ collective “Chicago House Junkiez”. In 2007 he joined up with the Pilsen Neighbors Community Council to create the HOUSE OF SOL DJ showcase inside their annual FIESTA DEL SOL summer celebration.
