In his early teens, DJ Subculture's musical tastes became very eclectic, ranging from
Rock to New Wave, to Punk and Ska. While living in Hawaii, at the age of 19, DJ Subculture had a
chance meeting with DJ Marco "Markie" Bernardez, and he began to deejay. Initially into Hip Hop. DJ Subculture
mainly played private parties and some clubs. By the early 1990s, he had switched to house music and had never looked back.
DJ Subculture began spinning for various online radio stations in 2005 and is currently streaming on Mixcloud.
