I started spinning in private clubs (as they were called in the daze) during the late ’70s. What an awesome time learning to be a disc jockey on those stretched-out belt-driven turntables, mixing those “real drum” artists, using matchbox covers pressed ever so gently alongside the edge of wobbly records.

Honestly, I’d have it no other way…
