Echo - Somewhere In Between

Echo - Somewhere In Between

I've been mixing House Music for many years now. Every now and then I get burned out from listening to it. When this happens I turn my attention towards other genres of music. I have a large collection of non dance music. I enjoy listening to many different styles of music.

I would like to dedicate this mix to Rose, who has supported me all the way and tolerated listening to very loud music almost every day even though she doesn't care for House or Techno very much. This is a small sample (only a fraction really) of some of the music that I have discovered over those years; that I listen to in between my mixes. I give you Somewhere In Between.

Speakers on full and enjoy.

Dude! I loved the curveball mix! I totally agree with the burnout sometimes where some change becomes necessary. This was so refreshing and very enjoyable. The thought behind this is inspiring. Excellent picks as well - the version of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" was awesome.

Simon H aka SKYMAN1882

Really enjoyed this , and totally get where you are coming from sometimes nice to listen outside of the box and get inspired , was a good to hear the icehouse version of All Tomorrows parties as not heard it before I love the tune , my actual fav version is by Japan who I am a huge fan of well worth checking out, thanks for sharing really cool :)

Echo

Thanks Simon. I love the Icehouse version. I checked out the Japan version and I have to say it was well ahead of it's time. In fact, one could argue that it was the likes of david sylvian & co., ryuichi sakamoto, john foxx and gary numan who were the true (if not unwitting) pioneers of Tecnho.

Excellent set, enjoyed this one very much. That Velvet Underground cover is very cool and The Orb is an all time favorite. Have seen them perform live which was amazing.

Echo

Thanks Hugo. I think the Icehouse cover of 'All Tomorrow's Parties' is almost better than the original. I have seen The Orb 9 times and it was different experience each time. Thanks for listening :)

LuNa

Bawaka

This is so nice for my ears as well mate....really love the genres of all kinds of deep house in the beat range of say 115 - 125 but its also so nice to tune in into something totally different again, which makes my wife and family happy too. The opener itself is a earwarmer and Fever Ray is just perfect to hear here being a long time fan of Knife and Fever Ray, soon followed by The Orb.... Stunning tracks and set bro. Thanks for this. Have a great weekend

Echo
