Dionysus has been producing electronic dance music since 1996. Viewing himself as "part electronic musician and part audio alchemist," Dionysus has worked the underground dance music circuit while experimenting with a variety of genres over the years. Refusing to be imprisoned in a major-label contract, Dionysus has repeatedly launched his own projects to infect the masses with his bangers.

Dionysus started out writing trance -- and then explored many genres, including house, jungle, and drum n'bass -- before eventually falling in love with the hardcore sub-genre trancecore (also known as freeform) that was coming out of the European underground at the time. Dionysus pioneered the introduction of Trancecore in the U.S.
