Derrick Vnuk is a Vancouver, Canada based DJ with decades of experience all with the aim of perfecting his craft. When he’s not out performing, Derrick spends hours searching for the newest, freshest sounds or sifting through his vast record collection to bring diversity to his sets. Derrick’s eyes were opened to electronic music in the late 90’s when he was attending warehouse raves to select DJ’s such as Sasha and John Digweed. From there he spent years cultivating his appreciation and love for all that is electronic music, and today lands him as a resident DJ at Vancouver-based underground production company, You Plus One’s, supreme after-hours venue – Gorg-O-Mish.
Derrick’s music cycles through emotions and the dynamic melodies, escalating arpeggios and hypnotic baselines are his signature. Simply put, Derrick plays music because he loves it, and it is a perfect conduit for emotional ups-and downs - a ride he shares with everyone he plays for.
