Inspired by the explosion of the UK Latin scene in the late 90's, Del Camino soon established itself as one of the most well-known and respected salsa bands in the UK. Del Camino has performed at a host of well-known venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott's, The Lowry, Symphony Hall, World Beat Festival and Glastonbury 2010.

Del Camino has supported Roachford, Beverley Knight, Tony Christie, UB40 and more recently Plan B. Individual members of Del Camino have also performed along side the likes of Plan B, The Beat and Courtney Pine.

Del Camino has established a unique sound, which can be best described as "urban and raw with a Latin twist" (Melody Maker). "[they] loosened up to play in a totally brazen manner, horns slicing without mercy, piano jabbing hard chords, percussionists putting steam on the walls" (Independent).
