Born and Raised in the County of Kings, Brooklyn native Jon Blak has been no stranger to spinning amongst some of music’s elite including Jay Z, Kanye West and Ryan Leslie to name a few. As a child, he was inspired to become a DJ after watching his uncle and father spin reggae music at basement and backyard parties throughout Brooklyn. A night at the 40/40 club in January of 2005 would be the push that Jon Blak needed to take his interest and turn it into his passion. Fueled after witnessing DJ Poun play a continuous 8 hour set, Jon Blak started making his mark spinning his own sets at local parties throughout 2005 and 2006. A year later, Jon Blak received his first major break spinning at the 40/40 clubs in NYC, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Working with 40/40 provided him with knowledge and experiences like no other. While promoting the Cookies-n-Cream Clothing line, Jon was on a path to start up a bi-weekly party with his partners Teddy
