iMatt has an extraordinary history of music and DJing, starting from a very early age as a trained classical musician. His technical ability to DJ came as a natural progression from years of study in England in the 1990's (A-Level Music, ABRSM Grade 8 Brass). He picked up DJing as a hobby in 1999 and his professional career shot upwards from there very quickly.
iMatt became a full-time professional DJ in about 2002, and held residencies at some of the biggest and most respected commercial bars and clubs in England, soon progressing on to working full-time for a premier league bar chain called the Walkabout Inns.
After emigrating to Australia in 2008, iMatt soon stepped into force as a DJ at the Bristol Arms (Retro) Hotel, and over his first year, held residencies on all 3 floors covering all genres of music from the 1950s to the present day.
