DJ 3K aka “kool kalm kollected” is a Nigerian DJ based in Chicago, IL. Born in Chicago and raised in Nigeria, DJ 3K is the older of two children. He began his DJ career in 1998 as a college radio station DJ for University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign (where he was known as “Shy Guy”) playing the station’s reggae segment.
Currently, 3K is a resident DJ/Promoter/Videographer at one of the premier clubs in Chicago, The Shrine. He is part of the AFRO FUSION Movement which brings African Nightlife to Africans in Diaspora.
DJ 3K spins a mix of mainstream music including Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Old School Soul/Hip-Hop, House Music, Funky House, Afro Beats Popular Nigerian Music, African tunes and much more.
