Dyslexic Deborah 'Debris' Stevenson has been writing and performing her poems across the world for the past four years, from the main stage of The Roundhouse, to The Shanghai school of Art, China. In 2008 her poetic journey was followed by Channel 4 for a year, as part of Yeardot. This journey culminated in Turning Point Festival 08, which she hosted in front of thousands. She has taught and performed for legacies like Lyric Lounge, Nottingham 2010. She is currently running her own programme at Nottingham Playhouse called Mouthy Poets which presents the creative industry as a whole, teaching writing and performance skills alongside event coordination and management. After working with organisations like UK Youth parliament Debris' objective, is to empower young people through analytical creativity.
