David, alias David Jay, was born in March 1978 during the heightof the New York dance scene, in what many call the eternal city, Rome.
After finishing his studies, he moves to London (1999), a city that has a great musical influence on him. It is here that, with a lot of hard work to save up with the help of a friend (Sugar Daddy dj), they finally managed to buy their first console. The London music scene opens up to him a new genre within house, i.e. deep and funky, which he takes to at once.
After several years in London, David Jay decides to move back to Rome (2003). He meets here someone who came to influence and help him
on his way. He is introduced to Giacomo Berarducci, alias Jacko(www.tonyrecords.net), who leads him in to a more soulful genre of house made in U.S.A. It is during his permanence in Rome that David founds with some friends Funky People.
