I'm a music teacher in Maryland and I love a variety of music. Each genre and culture have their own positive elements and contribution to music over time. To relax, I often enjoy jazz from all eras, slow and cool as well as hot. I also enjoy classical music and soundtracks from films, and anything Zelda (I'm a nerd); Kondo is a genius. For exercise, I'm moved by Tobymac. Though he's categorized narrowly, he blends pop, rock, funk and old school very well and as a DC native, he's good at it. Otherwise, I'm drawn to some classic rock, funk and Motown, often to the 70s area, and I've loved Brian Wilson's work in the Beach Boys since I was a kid. My newest love is latin music, specifically more traditional Colombian music in Vallenato and Cumbia, and I enjoy some newer pop and reggaeton, though I lean more toward old Don Omar stuff, and I love Carlos Vives and of course, salsa (yes, I dance.)
