David Alex Claibourn aka Dave9 is a multigenre dj and producer who currently resides in Saint Louis Mo.
He got his start by playing in punk and hardcore bands early on. His bands ROUND2, CAKEWALK, and JOHNNY ANGEl all played shows through out the Saint Louis area. His most notable band UNBROKEN (voted as 1 of the 23 bands that shaped Hardcore By Alternative Press magazine July 2008) originated in San Diego and toured 4 continents . Currently he is in the band Stabbed By Words.
Around the end of the 90s Dave9 started djing and joined Dedication Crew (STL) and opened up for many Drum and Bass producers and djs including: Hive, Klute, Digital, Visionary, and Amanning. He was instrumental in the longest running dnb weekly in the Midwest (Sunday Ritual).
He has since expanded his djing skills to add House, Techno, Breaks, and other forms of Bass music. He now is currently INICIO (STL) and working @ the Upstairs Lounge and writing music.
