My name is Dj Johndatech, and for the past 5 years I have posted over 200 mixes on various podcast sites, including this one which I removed back in 2010, and my current one at datechdahaus.podbean.com. My mixes are dedicated to the underground sounds of Deep House and Detroit Techno, and anything funky, soulful, and electronic in between.
I grew up listening to Disco, early hip hop, club and freestyle (electro-funk) music in the late 70's and early 80's. As I stated on various blogs I discovered House and Techno in 1987 while in H.S., and since then I have been hooked on this music craze. For the past 26 years house and techno music have morphed into various sub-genre, some genres came and left like vaporware, others rehashed with new names, and has given birth to new genres which are branded as E.D.M.
I love the funky, soulful, and jazzy sounds of Deep House, which was born out of Detroit Techno. Since 2009 I have experimented with live remixes. Welcome to my haus: Datechdahaus.
