I'm Darren ...this is SOUNDS. Dancer first. Disc jockey second... kinda.... From a lost era that's gone. Influenced by Gil Scott-Heron, Ursula Rucker, James Baldwin, George Clinton, George Carlin, Amos Wilson, the house and hip hop DJs/producers who taught us, and the dice game behind the corner store.
I play ol' skool — no sync, no hot cues, no FX wash. I use the loop to let the mix breathe so the floor can catch it. Part testimony, part protest, part healing.
Not chasing streams. Just archiving truth before it's lost. The music isn't going to be as "clean" and ready for streaming. It's just expression. My crates are still unorganized and that's a good thing... ya never know WHAT you mite get.
