I was born and bred in Hull, Yorkshire, I moved to Genoa, Italy in 1992 My son James is 24, he lives here too. I'm a published journalist working with guidebook publishers specialising in Italy. I'm a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and that's what I combine with the journalism to make ends meet. I have four lovely brothers David, Patrick (paddy) Glyn and Adrian living in Hull and sixteen nephews and neices. Plus a step brother Martin and an adopted brother George
