daniel gray-kontar is also known as replife. dj, mc, poet, journalist, and educator, dgk released his groundbreaking debut lp, "the unclosed mind (futuristica music)" in 2008. he has performed on more than 40 sound recordings with such artists as dego (4Hero), mark de clive lowe, atjazz, cecilia stalin, illvibe collective, and more. as a journalist, he has written music and political criticism for the source, vibe, xlr8r, and wax poetics.
he is also paloma manning gray's father. :-)
