Dan’s commitment to New Age/Contemporary Instrumental music goes back
to the 1980s. Conservatory trained, he got his start playing evenings of improvised
piano music at Oberlin’s Cat-in-the-Cream Coffeehouse. Heard on over 200 radio
stations, his music has been in rotation on Sirius XM Satellite Radio ever since
2009. His debut EP LANTERN was produced by the legendary Will Ackerman.
His second release INTUITION (2012) went to #7 internationally and was
produced by Grammy Award winner Corin Nelsen.

His third album BLOOM ROAD offers an intimate coffeehouse-style set from award winning, classically trained composer-pianist Dan Kennedy. It features guest artist Charles Neville (tenor sax, the Neville Brothers), David Rose (Native American flute, Painted Raven). The cover art shows a long dirt road through a huge field of wildflowers with stormy rain clouds on the horizon, but also a rainbow emerging. It is an intensely emotional record, the composer's most personal to date.
