Electronic music is just as fast moving as it’s numerous identifications, genres and subgenres, which are diligently made up for this idiom. One of the young artists defying all those categories and only pledging themselves to the psychoacoustic impact of sound is Max Dahlhaus.
Not afraid of clichés, he is calling on familiar themes within his tracks, allowing the ear to unconditionally engage into the sound.
But from this established base, he is always expanding into something unknown and impassable. Each piece’s development stays completely unpredictable and is therefore picturing an evolution for itself. In their totality, Dahlhaus’s tracks build a consecutive cycle, where each musical improvement is based on previous experiences.
