Born and raised in Hiratsuka-Shonan, Kanagawa,
DAH-ISHI launched his career under the strong influence of the golden era of ’90s hip-hop.
While hip-hop runs deep in his roots, he doesn’t box himself in by genre or era.
His underground style blends grooves from all directions with a unique perspective, earning respect from real heads and dancers alike.

He believes that digging deep into each record and bringing out its full character is the truest way to represent the music.

神奈川県湘南平塚市出身。
黄金期と呼ばれる90年代HIPHOPから強い影響を受けDJ活動を開始。
HIPHOPをルーツとしながらもジャンルや年代に囚われることなく、独自の視点でグルーヴを繋いでいくアンダーグラウンドなスタイルはコアな音楽ファン、ダンサーからも多くの支持を得ている。
DJとして使用する音源は全てアナログレコード。
敢えて選択肢を増やさないことで一つ一つの楽曲を隅々まで理解し、魅力を伝えることが自身が出来る最善策と考える。
