Since the early ages of childhood, Karon Mitchell was captivated by the beats, melodies and poetic lyrics of Hip-Hop music. But the one thing that captured his attention the most were the sounds of a skillful DJ exhibiting the artform known as Scratching. Once he actually saw how it was done, the spark to learn this craft was ignited. Starting with a Fisher Price Pre-School Turntable, and a small assortment of records from Disney to Beat Street by Melle Mel & the Furious Five, the young K-Boogie was on his way.
With many years of practice and real-world experience as a DJ at parties throughout his teen years, K-Boogie went on to become a professional working DJ. He’s landed gigs in New York City nightclubs, Crash Mansion, 40/40 and Culture Club to name a few. He’s traveled to perform at parties in the Hamptons, Jersey Shore, South Jersey and Connecticut. He's been a featured DJ with weekly broadcasts on DJ Clue’s Desert Storm Radio, 101.1 The Fam Internet Radio and The Show with Gene
