SO SHA is a story of a girl finding her worth and self-love despite a highly unusual setup and an ultraconservative upbringing where her parents hid her as a child. Only admitting to her existence to others when she was 19.
This catapulted her into constantly searching for ways to be truly seen, from world-champion ice skating, being the head of 'fill-in-the-blank' to boy collecting and countless (mis)adventures- most notably, finding solace in nightclubs, dark places with bright lights and of course, electronic music.
As an escape, she would sing as a child but only through covers of others. It wasn't until the age of 30 that she came to London to study Songwriting that she discovered it is possible to tell her story her own way.
The project reminds us that we're all in this devastatingly beautiful life together, floating about in outerspace - we might as well dance and sing while we're here.
She hopes that in her music, you'll find that you belong here.
