I'm closing down the Cranky Rabbit website because I am no longer attempting to launch a DJ career.

When I started it, I was still at least two-thirds full of optimism; I was certain that a fat fortysomething could launch a side gig that could bring in the dosh.

Not any more.

I am now resigned to remaining an amateur bedroom DJ. I don't have the connections or money to find work, or borrow/rent speakers and all that dross. I have lost all patience dealing with customers of any stripe, from working in retail for twelve years. And, most of all, I know all my efforts would be wasted. People gape, eyes and heads vacant as those of a cow, then they drift on, less aware and sapient than a jellyfish.

I also make zines, and my own music, and stream on Twitch. Nobody cares about those either. They just drift past, maybe drop a follow or attempt to scam me while they do so.

As you can see, I'm not a happy mammal. To be honest, I feel stuck, and I have no way of escaping until... I'd rather not say.
