Coreen Morsink is a Canadian/Greek composer and pianist focusing on music springing from Ancient Greek sources. Her composition for cello Conversations with a Rose was a finalist in the Sorodha Composition Competition in Belgium and ...catharsis... for organ was premiered by Kevin Komisaruk in Indianapolis, USA in April 2016 and Play Songs premiered by the rarescale trio in London, UK. In June 2016 her song cycle for The Theban Plays with texts from Sophocles were part of a Greek Tragedy in Greece. There was a Time for flute ensemble was premiered in 2017 in Greece by the rarescale Flute Academy and her Symphony No. 1, the "Agreekment" was premiered by the 432 Chamber Orchestra conducted by Ivan Yanakiev in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her work Andromache for alto flute has been performed in the UK, Canada and Greece. Coreen is currently music teacher at St. Catherine’s British School in Athens, Greece and has a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London. https://coreenmorsink.bandcamp.com/
