Coming from Derry in the north of Ireland, DJ and producer Phillip Cooke AKA Cooke, discovered his ear for music after picking up his first guitar from a young age.
After moving to Liverpool for university, his music taste and horizons had widened extremely after being invited to attend a number of house music events like Circus and The Warehouse Project.
Since then, Cooke has graduated and settled into Manchester where his musical interests have expanded drastically, where he felt obliged to purchase his first DJ controller.
After hours and hours of work in the bedroom, Cooke finally found the courage to approach any club/bar manager, event organiser or DJ for the opportunity to play to a crowd.
He hasn't looked back. Cooke has now played for a number of events around Manchester taking over the highly respected venues: Joshua Brooks, Stage & Radio, CUBO and 256. He has also featured on the well known ORTHODOX Deck Sessions and Pie Radio.
